Univision Chicago’s Broadcast of “Premios Juventud” #1 Primetime Program on Thursday, July 13th Among Young Adults
Univision Chicago’s “Noche De Estrellas” at 6 PM #1 Among Adults 18-49, 5 PM and 10 PM Newscasts #1 Among Adults 18-34, Regardless of Language
Chicago, IL -- Univision Chicago’s broadcast of “Premios Juventud”, an awards show celebrating Hispanic youth, which aired from 7 pm to 10 pm on Thursday, July 13th, was the #1 rated primetime program for the night among young Adults, according to Nielsen Station Index (NSI). “Premios Juventud” delivered more Adults 18-34 (4.9 rating) and Adults 18-49 (4.1 rating) than any other station in Chicago, regardless of language. In fact, “Premios Juventud” reached over twice as many Adults 18-34 as the #2 rated program of the night, WFLD/FOX’s 8-9 pm reality show, “So You Think You Can Dance”, and increased its Adults 18-34 audience over last year’s live broadcast in September by +32%.
Not only was “Premios Juventud” #1 among Adults 18-49, but so was the blue carpet special “Noche de Estrellas” from 6-7 pm. Univision Chicago’s award winning 5 pm and 10 pm newscasts were also #1, delivering more Adults 18-34 than any other local Early or Late newscasts with Univision Chicago’s 10 pm News achieving a 2.7 rating, which was +60% higher than WLS/ABC’s 10 pm newscast.
Among Hispanic viewers “Premios Juventud” also ranked #1, regardless of age, making it the second highest rated special of the year behind February’s airing of “Premio lo Nuestro”, according to Nielsen’s Hispanic Station Index (NHSI).
