Mike Muňoz Named National Sales Manager for KUVN –TV 23 Univision and KSTR-TV 49 Telefutura

Dallas, TX -- Univision Communications Inc. (NYSE: UVN), the nation’s leading Spanish-language broadcast company, announced that Mike Muñoz, KSTR-TV 49 Local Sales Manager, has been promoted to national sales manager for KUVN-TV 23 Univision and KSTR-TV 49 Telefutura.   Muñoz will be responsible for further developing existing advertising relationships and new business for both stations.  He will remain based in Dallas and report to Luis Hernandez, General Sales Manager of KUVN-TV and KSTR-TV.

Mike has been serving as Local Sales Manager for KSTR for the past four years.  Under his leadership KSTR locals sales has seen steady growth and TeleFutura Sports has become a staple for the station.   Mike joined Univision in 1995 as a local account executive for KUVN, and in 2001 he was promoted to Local Sales Manager for newly launched KSTR 49.

Prior to joining Univision, Muñoz worked for Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation as an account executive for two years.  He graduated from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
