KMEX-TV Garners Six Nominations in Local Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards

Los Angeles, CA -- June 3, 2002 --  KMEX-TV, Channel 34, the leading Spanish-language television station in the country who has proven itself to be a tough competitor in the Los Angeles ratings race regardless of language, is also a competitor on the Emmy nomination news front.  According to this year's 54th Annual Los Angeles Area Emmy Award nominations announced by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS), KMEX-TV received six nominations in various news categories.  They include:

KMEX-TV will also compete in two of three regularly scheduled daily news program categories, Best Regularly Scheduled Newscast, 0 to 35 minutes format and Best Regularly Scheduled Daytime Newscast.  All winners will be announced on Saturday, June 29 at the Academy’s Leonard H. Goldenson Theater in North Hollywood.
