Univision Radio Ratings Soar in Los Angeles

“Piolín por la Mañana” on KSCA becomes the top-rated Spanish-Language morning show


Los Angeles, CA -- Univision Radio, a division of Univision Communications Inc. (NYSE: UVN) and the leading Spanish-language radio broadcaster in the United States, today announced that its Los Angeles stations achieved significant ratings gains and strengthened their market positions in Arbitron’s recently-released Fall book. Highlights include:

• KSCA 101.9 morning talent Eddie “Piolín” Sotelo and his show “Piolín por La Mañana” took the #1 spot to become the top-rated Spanish-language morning show in Los Angeles among Persons 18-34, its target demo, and among Persons 12+.

• KLVE 107.5 is the #1 Spanish-language radio station in Los Angeles among Adults 25-54, and is ranked # 2 among all radio stations in Los Angeles among the Adults 25-54 demographic.

• Three of Univision Radio’s formats rank in the top-10, regardless of language, in Los Angeles among the Adults 25-54 demographic. Univision Radio captures approximately 13% of all listening in the Adult 25-54 demographic in Los Angeles, up from 9% in the Spring book.

• Univision Radio’s Los Angeles cluster has seen phenomenal growth over recent Arbitron books (see chart below).
