Big Changes in Store for Telefutura’s Popular Gameshow Block
Network Premieres Innovative Program “Dame la Pista” with Alessandra Rosaldo;
Popular Comedian Omar Chaparro Joins “¿Qué Dice la Gente?” as New Host
Fun-Filled Hour Kicks-Off September 15, 2008 at 7pm ET/PT
Miami, FL -- This month, TeleFutura, one of the largest Spanish-language networks in the U.S. and the ideal entertainment alternative for Hispanics across the nation, is dialing up the family fun during its primetime gameshow block with the premiere of the all new show “Dame la Pista” (Child’s Play), hosted by Alessandra Rosaldo, and the addition of new host Omar Chaparro on “¿Qué Dice la Gente?” (Family Feud). The new block premieres Monday, September 15, 2008 at 7pm ET/PT (6pm Central). Debuting at 7pm ET/PT (6pm Central) is “Dame La Pista,” a wildly funny and unpredictable family game show in which a group of cute kids give unexpected and oftentimes baffling clues about a secret word to a group of usually clueless adults…with hilarious, and sometimes embarrassing, results. Add its charismatic host, the talented actress, singer and dancer Alessandra Rosaldo, and viewers will enjoy 30 minutes of exploring just how much fun the generation and communication gaps can be. Then at 7:30, “¿Qué Dice la Gente?” begins a new era with one of Spanish-language television’s most popular Mexican comedians, Omar Chaparro, who steps in as its new host. Created specifically for the U.S. Hispanic audience, “¿Qué Dice La Gente?” pits two families against each other in a battle of wits to see who knows better what the public thinks on a myriad of subjects. As each family comes up with their own set of creative responses, viewers have the fun of comparing their own knowledge against the contestants’ as the answers to the always-entertaining “survey” questions are revealed. “This dynamic game show block is a great example of the entertaining alternatives TeleFutura offers its viewers,” said Bert Medina, senior vice president and operating manager, TeleFutura. “We’re really excited to have both Omar and Alessandra join our family of network stars and we know our audience will embrace them as they enjoy all the quality, fun family entertainment that these shows provide.” Univision Communications Inc. is the premier Spanish-language media company in the United States.
