Telefutura Introduces Pamela Silva as the New Face of the Station

Silva will Debut with New Contest "Tu Número de la Suerte"


Miami, FL -- Telefutura WAMI-69, in its continuing efforts to reach and inform its viewership of upcoming programming, contests and community events, proudly introduces the station’s newest representative, Ms. Pamela Silva. As the station’s on-air link to its audience, Pamela debuts with the station’s “Tu número de la suerte” (Your Lucky Number) contest, appearing in the promotional spots as well as on the cover of the related insert in El Nuevo Herald, The “Tu numero de la suerte” contest will award  hundreds of dollars daily, leading up to a grand prize giveaway on December 1st, 2004.

“Pamela is the perfect person to convey the image of Telefutura’s viewers, young, intelligent and involved. We are fortunate to have her onboard as our station spokesperson,” notes Luis Fernandez-Rocha, Telefutura’s Vice President  General Manager.

On November 7, El Nuevo Herald will have an insert that viewers can use to play every night from Monday thru Friday, between 7:00 and 11:00 pm. Four lucky numbers will appear on the TV screen. If the viewer has the lucky number, he’ll have an hour to call and win $69, and a chance to qualify to also win travel tickets from "Aerolineas Argentinas" and the grand prize of a gift certificate of $10,000 in furniture from City Furniture.  Viewers can also play by sending a letter to: P.O. Once the current contest is over, Ms. Silva will continue to be a source of programming and event information for the Telefutura audience, often serving as a host and guiding the viewer through the station’s schedule.

Pamela was born in Lima, Peru and is an FIU graduate, where she obtained a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Pamela is seeking her Master’s degree in Mass Communications at St. Thomas University. She currently works for WLTV Univision Channel 23 as a public affairs coordinator and reporter for Miami Ahora. She also provides the voice for all Telefutura aired public service announcements. She has worked as guest reporter on such shows as Control and Caliente for the Univision network and has graced the front covers of the 2003 and 2005 Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders Calendars. Pamela has been featured in Maxim Magazine.
