Univision Announces Superstars Marc Anthony and Ricardo Arjona as Performers for 6th Annual "Premios Juventud" Youth Awards
Urban Stars Alexis y Fido and Pitbull Also Join Stellar Roster of Performers
Miami, FL -- Univision announced today Marc Anthony and Ricardo Arjona as the latest performers to be added to the impressive roster of artists for the 6th annual “Premios Juventud” Youth Awards; the #1 awards show of its kind on television, honoring recording artists, movie stars, sports figures, and fashion and pop culture icons who are popular with this country’s Hispanic youth. The star-studded 2009 edition of “Premios Juventud” will be broadcast LIVE from Miami, FL on Thursday, July 16 at 8pm ET/PT (7pm Central) on the Univision Television Network.
Building on the highly anticipated line-up of spectacular debuts and first-time events, this year’s show will feature superstars Marc Anthony and Ricardo Arjona performing for the first time ever on the “Premios Juventud” stage. These celebrated artists will also be honored with special awards in recognition of their exceptional music careers. Additional performers added to the stellar line-up are urban music duo Alexis y Fido and Miami’s own Mr. 305 rapper, Pitbull.
These artists join the previously announced list of performers and presenters that includes Alacranes Musical, Alexander Acha, Alicia Villareal, Cristian Castro, Da’ Zoo, Espinoza Paz, Germán Montero, Jenni Rivera, Jesse y Joy, Jorge Celedón y Jimmy Zambrano, La Quinta Estación, Los Súper Reyes, Luís Fonsi, Makano, Paulina Rubio, Pee Wee, Shaila Dúrcal, Tito “El Bambino,” and Yahir.
Preceding the awards show telecast, Univision will present exclusive coverage of celebrity arrivals direct from the “Premios Juventud” carpet starting at 7pm ET/PT (6pm Central).
