Univision Premieres Highly Anticipated Primetime Novela "Yo Amo A Juan Querendón"

Marks the Return of Popular Leading Man Eduardo Santamarina in a Unique Romantic Comedy

Miami, FL -- One of Hispanic America’s most eagerly awaited novelas, “Yo Amo a Juan Querendón” (I Love Irresistible Juan), made its debut on the Univision Network last night at 8:30 ET/PT (7:30 Central).

Following the enormous success of the highly acclaimed novela “La Fea más Bella” (The Prettiest Ugly Girl), “Yo Amo a Juan Querendón” takes a similarly comedic approach to the genre. Starring the dashing leading man of “Rubi,” one of the most successful novelas of all time, Eduardo Santamarina plays the decidedly un-dashing Juan Querendón. It’s the lighthearted tale of a thoroughly unique but highly improbable “Don Juan.” This leading man isn’t rich and doesn’t dress well, yet all the ladies love him for his kind heart and “colorful” ways.

Juan holds women in very high esteem. He considers them the most beautiful creatures on the face of the Earth, nature’s masterpiece, to be respected and worshipped like goddesses. As a result, he falls madly in love with them all…and they with him. One misadventure leads to another, until he finally meets the woman of his dreams who finds the usually irresistible Juan…resistible.

“Yo Amo a Juan Querendón” also stars Mayrin Villanueva (Mujer de Madera, Vecinos), Alexis Ayala (Contra Viento y Marea, Barrera de Amor) and Sylvia Pasquel (Amarte es mi Pecado).

After the upcoming grand finale of “La Fea más Bella”, “Yo Amo a Juan Querendón” will air in its permanent time period at 8:00-9:00 pm ET/PT (7:00-8:00 pm Central) Monday through Friday on the Univision Network.
