Satcha Pretto to Co-Anchor Univision’s “Primer Impacto” Weekend Edition

Popular Dallas News Anchor Joins Network’s #1 Daily Newsmagazine


Miami, FL -- Univision Communications Inc. today announced that journalist Satcha Pretto has been named the new co-host of the highly-rated daily newsmagazine “Primer Impacto: Fin de Semana” starting this Saturday at 5:00 p.m. ET/PT (4:00 p.m. Central) on the Univision Television Network.

Previously, Pretto was an anchor at the Univision affiliate KUVN-23 in Dallas, Texas. She anchored the station’s 5:00 p.m. newscast, “Cinco en Punto,” and reported for the late night newscast, “Edición Nocturna,” since 2003.

A native of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Pretto graduated in 2001 from Angelo State University in Texas with a degree in Communications, and has received several recognitions for her work in broadcast journalism, including a regional Emmy nomination for best investigative report, an award from Texas Associated Press Broadcasters, and one from the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association.

Satcha Pretto joins co-host Verónica del Castillo on “Primer Impacto: Fin de Semana” every Saturday and Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET/PT (4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central) and will also serve as a reporter for the network.
