Univision Presents Special on Adolescent Health – Saturday, December 15
Miami, FL -- Univision will air a half-hour special “Los Retos de la Adolescencia… Entérate” (The Challenges of Adolescence… Get the Facts!) hosted by Univision personality Giselle Blondet on Saturday, December 15 (check your local listings for time). As part of Univision’s Peabody award-winning health initiative “Salud es Vida…ˇEntérate!” (Lead a Healthy Life…Get the Facts!), this special will focus on the challenges parents and guardians face in raising teenagers. Some of the topics include teen pregnancy, alcohol and drug abuse, smoking and bullying.
“Los Retos de la Adolescencia...Entérate” will highlight the essential role communication plays in keeping teens physically and mentally healthy. The program will illustrate how important it is for families to learn to talk to their teens about the life issues they face and help them understand the consequences of their actions.
This special will also increase awareness of resources available, including toll free telephone numbers of organizations where parents and teens can get the information and assistance they need. Additional resources will be available on online at Univision.com (keyword: Entérate).
“Salud es Vida…ˇEntérate!” is a national effort designed to raise awareness, increase knowledge and encourage positive health decision-making. The initiative utilizes Univision’s diverse media assets across its television, radio and online platforms to educate its audience on health issues and promote primary prevention, habits of healthy living, access to care and disease-specific prevention and treatment.
