Univision Presents "Entérate…¡Vive Tu Vida!" March 24th
Miami, FL -- (NYSE:UVN) — Univision, in partnership with the National Alliance for Hispanic Health (the Alliance), will broadcast a half-hour special, “Entérate…¡Vive tu Vida!” (Lead a Healthy Life…Get the Facts!) hosted by “Despierta América’s” (Wake Up America) Raúl González on Saturday, March 24 (check local listings for time). The special will encourage families to take control of their health by educating and empowering themselves to make healthier lifestyle decisions. The program will highlight nutritional choices as well as activities that families can do together to maintain an active lifestyle.
“I am proud to join leading health experts and my Univision colleagues to give our viewers practical ideas and advice on living a healthy life,” said González. “My recent battles with health issues have given me a new perspective on the value of being healthy from an early age.”
“Entérate…¡Vive tu Vida!” will feature interviews with Lili Estefan, legendary host of the hit entertainment show “El Gordo y La Flaca” (The Scoop and The Skinny), Fernando del Rincón, host of “Primer Impacto” (First Impact), and Univision Radio’s Dr. Aliza. Estefan, Rincón and Dr. Aliza will share their personal insights and individual approaches for healthy living, including regular physical activity.
“Making movement a daily part of your life is one of the most important steps you can take for you and your family’s health,” said Dr. Jane L. Delgado, President and CEO of the Alliance. “Univision’s ‘Entérate…¡Vive tu Vida!’ special reminds us that people of all ages and sizes can make physical activity a part of their daily lives — and have fun doing it! Dance, learn a new activity, take a walk with family or friends...there are hundreds of great ways to get up and get moving for your health!”
“Entérate…¡Vive tu Vida!” will also address cultural misperceptions related to disease and treatment, and reinforce the value of regular medical check-ups, immunizations and prenatal care. The special will educate viewers on the importance of following a treatment plan that includes prescription medicines.
