The Midday Madness is Back...El Escándalo del Mediodía Returns to Telefutura on July 1st
New segments create an even greater mix of comedy, talk, and entertainment
Miami, FL -- After a brief period off the air due to World Cup soccer broadcasts, El Escándalo del Mediodía – Spanish-language television’s liveliest midday program – hits the airwaves once more featuring even more laughter, amusement, and outrageous fun. The comeback of this afternoon favorite brings with it a variety of new segments guaranteed to spice up the show’s already savory mix of talk and entertainment. El Escándalo del Mediodía will offer viewers even more of what they want to watch when it returns to TeleFutura on Monday, July 1, during its regularly scheduled time period of 12 noon to 2 P.M. EST (check local listings).
The new Escándalo additions include, “Exposed Secrets” (“Secreticos al Descubierto,”) a tell-all segment that reveals the secrets of the stars; “The Making of a Diva” (“Cómo Se Hace una Diva”), a piece which traces the steps to becoming a diva; and “Scandalous Lives” (“Vidas Escandalosas”), a gossip segment that highlights celebrity scandals. Additionally, the show’s charismatic co-host, Charytín, takes part in a variety of funny skits portraying the comical character “La Mosqueña,” a groupie turned “Norteña” singer who finds herself in more than one hilarious situation. A bountiful supply of Spanish-language television bloopers are presented during another segment similar in format to Entertainment Television’s “Talk Soup.”
One of the TeleFutura Network’s most popular shows, El Escándalo del Mediodía offers something for everyone, ranging from up-to-the-minute news, to fashion tips, to beauty advice, to health information as well as debates concerning the day’s top issues.
Hosted by Charytín Goyco, Gabriela Teissier, Marisa del Portillo, and Felipe Viel, the show additionally presents musical performances by famous Latin acts, celebrity interviews, and advice by experts in a wide variety of areas. Unique to the show is its close interaction with the audience at home via the phone and the Internet. Every day, viewers are asked to call in or send an e-mail with their thoughts about the program and the topics they would like discussed. Through this segment of Escándalo, entitled “Vent Central” (“La Central del Desahogo”), invited guests are given the opportunity to respond to the e-mails they received during the show. Funny, friendly, and familiar, El Escándalo del Mediodía is the perfect choice for Hispanics at midday.
