Yuri Named Host of “Objetivo Fama” Singing Competition’s 3rd Edition

Smash hit competition show to hold auditions all across the U.S. and Puerto Rico

Miami, FL -- The TeleFutura Network announced today that popular Mexican singer/actress Yuri will host the 3rd edition of its highly successful international singing competition show “Objetivo Fama” (Objective: Fame).

A ratings success in its first two seasons, “Objetivo Fama” pits young Hispanic singers in a competition that results in one of them receiving a recording contract with the leading Latin music company in the U.S., Univision Music Group.

Interpreter of such hits as “Qué te pasa,” “Tú cómo estás,” and “El apagón” among others, Yuri joins the “Objetivo Fama” team with more than 29 years of experience to share with the 20 aspiring contestants, all pursuing the same objective: fame. The competition’s hopefuls will be selected by auditions held in cities coast-to-coast across the U.S. and Puerto Rico starting this Saturday, October 1st in San Francisco.
“I’m thrilled to join ‘Objetivo Fama’,” expressed an emotion-filled Yuri. “To be part of a team of professionals who are charged with selecting the best talent in the United States and Puerto Rico in front of an audience of millions of viewers is a great responsibility. I look forward to spending the next few months with the 20 contestants and sharing my personal life and professional experiences with them.”

Beginning in her childhood, Yuri has practiced every aspect of the performing arts including singing, dancing, acting and emceeing, resulting in her reputation as an all-around artist of the highest caliber. Her participation in “Objetivo Fama” couldn’t be a more appropriate example for a new generation of performers, as she has lived their same dreams, triumphs and disappointments, and achieved her lifelong objective: becoming famous.
