Miami, FL -- Galavisión, the nation’s leading Spanish-language cable network, will premiere “Tu Salud” (Your Health), an informative and educational series covering health issues and medical news on Saturday, February 2nd at 10am ET/PT (9am Central).
This half-hour program, airing every Saturday and Sunday, will give Hispanic audiences a well-rounded and thorough look at the three most important areas concerning their health and well-being: children’s health, nutrition and fitness, and illness awareness and prevention. Each segment will provide viewers with valuable advice, current medical news, and updates on the latest technological advances. Saturday’s premiere episode will feature in-depth stories on the latest developments and information regarding issues such as diabetes, which affects Hispanics in this country at nearly twice the rate of non-Hispanics.
“Galavisión is committed to making a direct connection with information that matters most to Hispanic audiences,” commented Joanne Lynch, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Galavisión. “We believe this new program will not only inform and educate our viewers, but also make a significant difference in the quality of life for them and their families.”
“Tu Salud” is hosted by veteran health and lifestyle anchor Sandra Peebles, whose strong interest and dedication to health and wellness is rooted in her many years of active participation in various health-related charitable events and organizations. Chief health reporter for the show is Franklin Leal, winner of Galavisión’s first-ever journalistic reality show competition “Misión Reportar” (Mission: Report), and a veteran broadcast and print journalist in his own right.
