Galavisión Launches Live, Interactive Music Show “Acceso Máximo”

Viewers vote for videos by text message or Internet, hosted by Carlos Calderón

Miami, FL -- Galavisión, the nation’s #1 Spanish-language cable network, will debut it's first live, interactive music and entertainment program called “Acceso Máximo” on Friday, December 2, 2005 at 9pm ET/PT.

The weekly 1-hour program, hosted by Carlos Calderón, is an original Galavisión production shot live from its state-of-the-art studios in Miami. With extensive wireless and online integration, “Acceso Máximo” is Galavision’s first fully interactive show.  Viewers choose their favorite music videos and artists by text messaging via Univision Móvil or voting online at Univision.com (Uniclave: Acceso Máximo). The show will feature celebrity interviews, entertainment news updates and most-requested videos.  Viewers will also be invited to actively participate in each broadcast by sending text messages that will appear in a live crawl at the bottom of the screen throughout the show.

Audience participation is an integral part of every show.  Over the course of the week, viewers can log onto Univision.com (Uniclave: Acceso Máximo) to vote for “Video Máximo” (Video of the Week) to be played at the start of the show.  In “Agarrón de Videos” (Battle of the Videos), Carlos will introduce 2 new videos and viewers will use text messaging to vote for the video that will be played at the end of the broadcast.

In the “Nota Loca” (What’s Hot) segment, Carlos will give updates on the hottest celebrity gossip, hippest trends and latest happenings in the world of music, fashion, and entertainment.

“I’m really looking forward to the interactive aspect of the show,” said host Carlos Calderón. “Doing a live program and being able to get instant feedback from viewers is something rare in TV today. I think it’s going to be very exciting!”

Carlos Calderón, one of Hispanic America’s favorite young hosts, is best known for his work as guest anchor and reporter for Univision’s “Primer Impacto” newsmagazine and frequent fill-in host on the network’s popular entertainment magazine “El Gordo y La Flaca.” He has also made numerous appearances on others shows such as “Lente Loco” and “Escandalo TV,” and has reported from the “Premio Lo Nuestro” and “Premios Juventud” awards shows.
