Univision Names Jose Luis Padilla Vice President & General Manager of Univision and Telefutura Arizona Stations

New York, NY -- Univision Communications Inc. (NYSE:UVN), the leading Spanish-language media company in the United States, today announced the appointment of Jose Luis Padilla to the position of General Manager of Univision Television Group’s Arizona stations, effective immediately.  Univision Television Group’s Arizona stations include KTVW-Channel 33 and KFPH-Channel 35 in Phoenix, KTVW-Channel 6 and KFPH-Channel 13 in Flagstaff, and KUVE-Channel 42, KUVE- Channel 38 and KFTU-Channel 34 in Tucson, and KFTU-Channel 3 in Douglas.  Padilla will be based in Phoenix and will report to Michael D. Wortsman and Thomas Arnost, Co-Presidents, Univision Television Group.

Previously, Padilla served as General Sales Manager of Univision and TeleFutura’s Arizona stations.  From 1998 to 2003 Padilla served as Local Sales Manager for Univision’s KTVW-TV Channel 33 Phoenix and KUVE-TV Channel 42 Tucson.  Padilla was promoted to Account Executive of KMEX-TV Los Angeles Channel 34 in 1992 after beginning his career with Univision as National Sales Coordinator for the station earlier that year.  Padilla graduated from California State University Northridge with a degree in Finance and is a member of the Upward Bound Program, an organization that focuses on increasing participant enrollment and graduation from post-secondary educational institutions.
