Univision Announces Appointment of Steve Fapka Vice President of Network Sales in Chicago
New York, NY -- Univision Communications Inc., the leading Spanish-language media company in the United States, today announced that Steve Fapka has been appointed Vice President of Network Sales in Chicago managing sales for Univision, TeleFutura and Galavisión, effective immediately. Fapka will be based in Chicago and will report to Carlos Deschapelles, Senior Vice President of Network Sales.

We believe that his strong leadership skills and track record for success make him the ideal person to head up this important post in one of the top media markets in the country.”

Steve Fapka comes to Univision with over 15 years of media sales experience, which includes leadership positions at The Walt Disney Company, CBS, Inc., and most recently Viacom, as Vice President of Advertising Sales for the MTV Networks’ Entertainment Division which includes Comedy Central, CMT, Spike-TV and TV Land. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Advertising Sales, Central Region, for ESPN/ABC Sports Consumer Marketing. In that capacity, he was at the forefront of multi-media cross platform sales for ESPN/ABC Sports. Fapka attended Central Michigan University.
