Telefutura and Major League Soccer Team Up with American Airlines for Exclusive Promotion in Key Markets
TeleFutura’s New York, Miami, Dallas and Chicago viewers can enter for a chance to win a trip to the 2008 PEPSI MLS ALL-STAR GAME and an opportunity to win one million dollars
New York, NY -- The Univision Television Group announced today an exclusive promotional partnership with Major League Soccer (MLS) and American Airlines, creating a contest that offers viewers a chance to win a trip to the 2008 Pepsi MLS All-Star Game in Toronto, Canada on Thursday, July 24, 2008. The on-air promotion runs through Tuesday, July 15 in New York, Miami, Dallas and Chicago. One winner per market will be selected to win a trip to the 2008 Pepsi MLS All-Star Game. In addition, MLS will pick one of the four lucky winners to get an “ALL STAR SHOT” to win one million dollars.
As part of the promotion, TeleFutura stations will air vignettes featuring MLS players who correspond to each market, i.e. (New York Red Bulls: Juan Pablo Angel, FC Dallas: Duilio Davino) inviting viewers to enter the contest by visiting their local station’s website or Univision.com (keyword: AA). Additional promotional elements include on-air spots to be broadcast on local TeleFutura stations and a mini-site within each station’s website to promote the contest.
Grand prize winners will receive roundtrip airfare for two on American Airlines to Toronto, 100,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles, hotel accommodations for two, and two tickets to the 2008 Pepsi MLS All-Star Game. In addition, one lucky grand prize winner will have the opportunity to participate in a once in a lifetime opportunity to kick a goal for one million dollars.
