Joanne Lynch Promoted to President of the Univision Television Station Group
New York, NY -- Univision Communications Inc., the nation’s leading Spanish-language media company, today announced that Joanne Lynch has been promoted to president of the Television Station Group, effective immediately. In this role, she will oversee Univision’s and TeleFutura’s 63 television stations.
Lynch, who most recently served as senior vice president and general manager of Univision’s leading Spanish-language cable network, Galavisión, will be based in New York. She will report to Ray Rodriguez, president and chief operating officer of Univision Communications Inc.
“In addition to strong management skills and proven experience in the industry, Joanne brings a unique understanding of the company to this position,” said Rodriguez. “This experience, combined with her business acumen and vision, will be instrumental in the continued success of our stations.”
In her most recent position at Galavisión, she was responsible for programming, promotions and operations. Prior to that position she served as vice president of National Sales for Univision’s Southeast region. Since joining the company in 1991, she has held several positions of increasing responsibility at Univision including manager; account executive, National Spot Sales for the Southeast Region and New Business account executive for Univision Network.

Lynch, who has more than 20 years of industry experience, worked at Cox Broadcasting and TK Communications prior to joining Univision. She began her career in Philadelphia at WWSH.
Sebastian Trujillo, senior vice president and operating manager of the Galavisión Network, will take over Lynch’s responsibilities at the cable network and report directly to Rodriguez.
