Univision Names Mike Reid, SVP, Director of National Sales

New York, NY -- Univision Communications Inc. (NYSE:UVN), the nation’s leading Spanish-language media company, announced today that Mike Reid has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President, Director of National Sales effective immediately. He will continue to report to Charlie Stuart, Executive Vice-President and Director of Sales, Univision & TeleFutura Television Groups.  Mike will oversee 10 nationwide Spot Sales offices, which represent 100 Television stations in 55 markets, as well as the National Research and Marketing Group. He will be based in New York.

“Mike has a proven track record in sales, sales leadership and sales management,” said Charlie Stuart. “His valuable experience will continue to serve as an asset to our clients and agencies and his media relationships and leadership skills will serve our Spot division, as well as our Stations.”

Mike Reid joined Univision in 1992 as a Local Account Executive at KUVN-Univision Dallas. Two years later, he moved on to National Spot Sales as an Account Executive based in Dallas and went on to manage the Univision Detroit office for another two years.  Mike returned to Dallas as Vice-President and Team Manager, a position he held for 6 years.  He was then promoted to Senior Vice-President, National Sales, Central Region in Dallas until this most recent appointment.

Mike is a graduate of the University of North Texas and is married with three children.
