Univision 41 in Weekly Clean Sweep of WCBS 2 in all Key News Periods

New York, NY -- In a record for Spanish-language TV in New
York, Univision's New York TV station, Univision 41 (WXTV) here, has
beat one of New York's major, VHF English-language TV stations in every
key weekday news time period for an entire week.

Last week, the week of July 8 through 12, 2001, news programs on
Univision 41 beat news programs on CBS's WCBS-TV Channel 2 at 5 pm, 6
pm, 6:30 pm, and 11 pm -- in addition to beating the CBS Early Show and
the 6 am local news on WCBS-TV Channel 2.

These ratings take on more than the usual importance due to the fact
that last week includes the first two weekdays of the July 2002 sweep in
which the audiences of TV stations nationwide are measured to set
advertising rates.

Here are the ratings:

5 pm News:  "Primer Impacto" on Univision 41 scored a 2.9 Nielsen
Station Index (NSI) household rating and 7 share to beat the 2.5/6 NSI
rating/share scored by the "CBS 2 News" at 5 pm.

6 pm News:  "Noticias 41" with anchors Rafael Pineda and Denisse Oller
scored 4.0/8 NSI to beat the 2.8/6 scored by the "CBS 2 News" at 6 pm.

6:30 pm News:  "Noticiero Univision," Univision's network news program
with anchors Jorge Ramos and Maria Elena Salinas, scored 4.0/8 NSI to
beat the 3.2/6 scored by "The CBS Evening News" with Dan Rather on
WCBS-TV Channel 2.

11 pm news:  "Noticias 41" with anchors Rafael Pineda and Denisse Oller
scored 3.5/6 NSI to beat the 3.3/6 NSI scored by "CBS 2 Nightcast" on
WCBS-TV Channel 2.

In addition to those key news time periods, Univision 41's 6 am local
news, "Noticias 41 Al Despertar" (Channel 41 News at Dawn) with anchors
Bermania Rios and Ramon Zayas and weatherman Jack Rico, scored 1.4/7 NSI
to beat the 0.7/3 scored by "CBS 2 News in the Morning."  In addition,
Univision's breakfast news program, "Despierta America," seen from 7 am
to 10 am on Univision 41, scored 1.5/5 to beat the 1.0/3 scored by the
"CBS Early Show" on WCBS-TV Channel 2 from 7 am to 9 am.

Each New York Nielsen Station Index rating point represents 73,010.6 TV
households.
