Univision Radio Launches Recuerdo 100.3 FM and Radiocadena Univision 1170 AM in the San Francisco/San Jose Market

San Francisco, CA -- Univision Radio, the largest Spanish-language radio broadcaster in the United States, today announced the launch of Recuerdo 100.3 FM (KBRG) and RadioCadena Univision 1170 AM (KLOK) in the San Francisco/San Jose market:.  

The new Recuerdo 100.3 FM will feature a Spanish Oldies Format playing favorites from the ‘70s, ‘80s and early ‘90s.  The station will showcase classic ballads and rancheras from an array of artists including: José José, Los Bukis, Joan Sebastian, Los Temerarios, Juan Gabriel, and Vicente Fernandez. 

RadioCadena Univision 1170 AM will offer listeners local news, talk and sports complemented with RadioCadena’s popular and proven network programming. RadioCadena Univision 1170 AM will feature an all-star line-up of respected Hispanic personalities including: Dra. Isabel, a Psychologist whose program focuses on family matters and relationships; Dra. Aliza Lifshitz’s medical information program; and financial expert Julie Stav’s financial advice show.  

The station will also simulcast Univision 14’s local 6PM and 11PM newscasts.   In addition, RadioCadena 1170 AM will feature extensive sports programming.  The station will be the exclusive broadcaster in the Bay Area of the upcoming 2006 World Cup.
