Fonovisa Superstar Recording Artists’ Banda El Recodo and Ana Barbara Earn a Latin Grammy Award

Woodland Hills, CA -- The leading Regional Mexican label Fonovisa Records’ superstar recording artists Banda El Recodo and Ana Barbara each win a Latin GRAMMY Award during the ceremony held at the Shrine Auditorium on November 3, 2005 in Los Angeles, CA.

Mexico’s ‘reina grupera’ Ana Barbara earns a Latin GRAMMY in the category of ‘Best Grupero Album’ for her critically acclaimed album “Loca De Amar.”

During the star-studded ceremony Ana Barbara gave one of her most vibrant presentations with special acoustic performance of her song “Lo Busque” together with her brothers (Jose Francisco and Antero) of the popular Regional Mexican duet Los Elegidos.  In yet another highlight of the night, Ana performed her hit song “Loca” penned by the renowned Mexican composer Alejandro Vezzani, making this performance one of the most vibrant of the night during the ceremony held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

This award is a milestone accomplishment in Ana Barbara’s career that spans more than a decade of uninterrupted success in the United States, Mexico and Latin America.

Making history in Regional Mexican music, Banda El Recodo earns their fourth Latin GRAMMY award in the category for ‘Best Banda Album’ for their album “En Vivo.”
This once again evidences their unsurpassable historic legacy of 67 years since its foundation by the late Don Cruz Lizarraga.
