Grupero Romantic Icons Los Temerarios Pay Tribute to Ranchero Mexican Music on Their Highly Anticipated New Album: "Veintisiete"

Group celebrates their 27th year anniversary

Woodland Hills, CA -- Super star Fonovisa recording artists Los Temerarios release their highly anticipated release titled “Veintisiete.” While remaining true to their grupero romantic essence, Los Temerarios’s new album not only celebrates their twenty-seven year anniversary but is also the soundtrack to their personal diary.

The idea for the album had been brewing in their minds for quite some time and finally materialized while on the road during one of their stops in Ventura, California. At first thought, the idea was to pay tribute to ‘ranchera’ music, one of their favorite genres.

As the project developed, the group identified hundreds of ranchera songs that inspired and influenced their music style.  Gathering classic standards along with songs from a stable of legendary composers such as Javier Solís, Cornelio Reyna, Juan Gabriel and Martin Urieta. The difficult task of selecting the final songs for the album began, resulting in this great tribute to ranchera music.

Los Temerarios’ “Veintisiete,” is the follow up album to the highly successful “Una Lagrima No Basta,” an album that was certified RIAA Gold in 2003 for the sale of more than 500,000 units in the United States.

Even as Los Temerarios explore the ranchero music genre, their songs continue to exude the heart-felt emotion that has been key to the group’s success.

The album includes 13 extraordinary musical gems such as: the first single “Que De Raro Tiene,” “Las Llaves De Mi Alma,” featuring a historic duet with Regional Mexican music icon Vicente Fernandez and Gustavo Angel. Other notables on this incredible album are  “Sombras,” “En Mi Viejo San Juan,” and the ranchera version of Adolfo A. Alba’s track “Caminando Voy.”

As a special gift for their fans the album is also available with a DVD that features two videos; “Que De Raro Tiene” and “Comer A Besos.” In addition, as a token of appreciation the group recorded a special message in Mexico City titled “Caminando Voy” where each member expresses their thanks to the legions of fans who have adored them throughout the years.

Led by brothers Gustavo A. Alba (vocals) and Adolfo Angel Alba (singer-songwriter, arranger and musical director) and cousin Fernando Angel, together they have redefined romantic Latin music through lyrics that engulf the human sensibilities of love, happiness, melancholy, heartbreak and sadness.

Los Temerarios’ music has earned them stellar sales RIAA Gold (500,000) and Platinum (1,000,000) certifications for their albums: “Una Lagrima No Basta” (2003), “15 Exitos Para Siempre” (2001), “En La Madrugada Se Fue” (2000), “Como Te Recuerdo” (2000), “Tu Ultima Cancion” (1995).

With a superb discography of more than twenty-four albums on Fonovisa Records,
Los Temerarios have carved out a remarkable career since their inception in the early ‘80s in their hometown of Zacatecas, Mexico.  With a career that spans over two decades and cumulative sales of over 18 million units, sold out concerts in prestigious venues throughout the United States and Mexico such as: Radio City Music Hall, Estadio Azteca, Auditorio Nacional, and Plaza de Toros, Mexico and at the Universal Amphitheater in Hollywood achievements make of them a true legend.

Currently the group continues with their 41-city tour that started earlier this year and will conclude in California on November 2004, entertaining capacity crowds across the country.
