Chicago, IL -- Univision Chicago makes history in the Nielsen Station Index (NSI) September 2006 Full Sweep Period, becoming the first Spanish Language TV Station in Chicago to rank #1 in 10PM Local News among Adults 18-34, delivering more news viewers than all English and Spanish TV newscasts. In addition, Univision Chicago tied for #1 in 5PM Local News among Adults 18-34 versus all English and Spanish TV newscasts.
Separately, in the Nielsen Hispanic Station Index (NHSI) which only measures Hispanic viewing, Univision Chicago continues to grow its leadership position as the undisputed #1 rated Local News Station in Spanish at both 5PM and 10PM. Univision Chicago delivered THREE TIMES the Hispanic Adult 18-49 audience at 5PM and nearly FOUR TIMES the Hispanic Adult 18-49 audience at 10PM, versus Telemundo.
