La Estación de Univision KUVN Canal 23 Anuncia más Cobertura para el Area Metroplex Gracias a su Nuevas Multimillonarias Instalaciones de Transmisión
Dallas-Fort Worth, TX -- KUVN-TV, Univision’s O&O station in Dallas, will increase its coverage in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex with its new transmission site, mid-March. Plans for the multi-million dollar transmission site began in October 2002 and has almost reached completion. The new site will more than double KUVN’s current coverage capacity, adding six new counties (list counties) to the metroplex area. The new tower, located in Cedar Hills, exceeds the old tower’s height by 937 feet for a total height of 1,575 feet above ground level. Many homes will now receive a much better signal due to the increase in the tower size. Antennas pointing towards Garland, home of the old tower, will need to re-orient placement of antenna towards Cedar Hills. Some inside antenna’s, such as a UHF antenna, will additionally be able to receive a signal. “The #1 Spanish-language station, Univision’s KUVN is proud to offer viewers the strongest signal available in the metroplex area, in both English and Spanish. Viewers will be able to watch KUVN from as far east as Greenville, as far west as Stephenville, as far south as Hillsboro, and as far north as Sherman. In addition, the high gain antenna, mounted on a 40 foot mast, will allow viewers to watch KUVN outside the designated areas,” said KUVN Chief Engineer Page Graham.
