Univision Nueva York Logra el Primer Lugar de Audiencia en el Horario Diurno

New York, NY -- NEW YORK, NY, September 1, 2006 - For the first time ever, a Spanish-language TV station has won New York's early morning TV news race regardless of language. Yesterday, Thursday, August 31, 2006, "Noticias Univision 41 Al Despertar" (Univision 41 News at Dawn), with anchors Antonio Martinez and Merijoel Duran won New York's 6 am to 7 am weekday news race. "Noticias Univision 41 Al Despertar" attracted more viewers aged 18 to 49 and 25 to 54 than any other New York TV news program seen at the same time, either in English or in Spanish, according to Nielsen Station Index (NSI) Local People Meter (LPM) ratings.

"Noticias Univision 41 Al Despertar" was seen by 95,000 New York area viewers (1.0 NSI rating and 10 share) aged 18 to 49 years old. WABC-TV's "Eyewitness News This Morning" placed second with 62,000 viewers (0.7/7 NSI rating/share) aged 18 to 49. Among those aged 25 to 54, 97,000 New York TV viewers (1.1/11) tuned into "Noticias Univision 41 Al Despertar" while 67,000 (0.8/8) tuned into second place "Eyewitness News This Morning."
