Univision 41 Transmitirá Especial Sobre la Importancia de la Donación de Órganos
New York, NY -- As part of Univision’s health initiative, “Entérate” (Lead a Healthy Life: Get the Facts!), Univision (WXTV Channel 41, New York) will air a half-hour special focusing the importance of organ donation and liver and kidney diseases on Saturday, October 9 at 10:00 a.m. It is hosted by Univision Networks news anchor Jorge Ramos. “Donación de Órgano…Promesa de Vida” (Organ Donation…The Promise of Life) will take an in-depth look at the high number of Hispanics in need of an organ transplant and how organ donors, within the same ethnic group, can help save lives.
Throughout this special, viewers will hear from patients who were given a second chance in life by receiving an organ transplant as well as from “those unsung” heroes who chose to donate their organs to save others. The program will also inform viewers about liver and kidney diseases and highlight national outreach programs and support groups.
Additionally, the American Liver Foundation and the National Kidney Foundation and the National Marrow Donor Program will provide information on organ donation and will share important facts on liver and kidney disease.
