El Programa 'Don Francisco Presenta' de Univision Gana en su Horario en NY
New York, NY -- “Don Francisco Presenta” (Don Francisco Presents), the Wednesday night 10 pm hour-long program hosted by Spanish-language TV superstar Don Francisco (a.k.a. Mario Kreutzberger), has won its time period in New York for the first time ever regardless of language among the two most prized audience categories, adults aged 18 to 49 and 25 to 54 years old. Don Francisco is host of TV’s longest running variety program, “Sabado Gigante,” seen Saturday nights on Univision 41 (WXTV) here.
“Don Francisco Presenta” won its time period (10 pm to 11 pm) last night among people aged 18 to 49 with 241,124 viewers on New York’s WXTV Channel 41. NBC-TV’s “Law & Order” was second with 222,576 viewers aged 18 to 49 on WNBC Channel 4 according to Nielsen Station Index (NSI) local people meter (LPM) overnight ratings.
Among those aged 25 to 54, “Don Francisco Presenta” and “Law & Order” tied for first place in the time period with 273,203 viewers each.
“Don Francisco Presenta” accomplished its ratings feat as Univision becomes the top-rated TV network in New York in weekday prime time (M-F, 8 pm to 11 pm) among the two key adult audience categories for the first time ever. It is the first time a Spanish-language TV network has ever been number one in New York in prime time during a Nielsen survey period.
As of today, the midpoint of Nielsen’s August 2005 survey (July 28 to August 24, 2005 in LPM markets). Among those aged 18 to 49 Univision leads with an average of 200,000 average quarter hour (AQH) viewers. NBC-TV is second with 185,000 viewers. Among those aged 25 to 54, Univision leads with 225,000 viewers. NBC-TV is second with 214,000.
