Noticias Univision 41 celebra el día de San Valentín con el evento "Ámate a ti mismo".

New York, NY -- Univision 41 (WXTV), New York's premier Spanish-language TV station, will mark Valentine's Day (February 14) with a "Love Yourself" celebration.  No, it's not a party for folks without dates.  It's a day of free mammograms for women at Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia in the Washington Heights area of Manhattan.   The station will feature live reports from the day-long event during station breaks throughout the day, and "Noticias Univision 41" (Univision 41 News) co-anchor Denisse Oller will anchor portions of that night's 6 pm news broadcast from the scene.

"Minority women including Hispanics are less likely than others to have a mammogram," said Oller.  "But mammography is the best way to detect breast cancer while it is still curable.  What better way is there for a woman to show some love to her loved ones than by showing some love for herself - some love that can give her and her loved ones many more Valentine's Days together?"

One woman in nine will be diagnosed with breast cancer according to the American Cancer Society, a co-sponsor with Univision 41 of the "Love Yourself" event.

The Univision 41 "Love Yourself" day of free mammograms will take place on Wednesday, February 14 (Valentine's Day) from 9 am to 7 pm at Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia, 168 Street and Broadway in Manhattan.  Women may schedule appointments free of charge by calling 800-227-2345.
