Univision Nueva York # 1 en Horario Estelar con la Transmisión de “Premios Juventud”
New York, NY -- Spanish-language TV network Univision yesterday won New York’s prime-time TV ratings race in all key measures regardless of language as its youth entertainment awards program, “Premios Juventud,” scored World Cup style ratings on New York’s WXTV Channel 41, Gotham’s premier Spanish-language TV station.
“Premios Juventud,” seen last night (June 13, 2006) from 8 pm to 11 pm was watched by an average quarter hour audience of 611,000 New Yorkers according to Nielsen Station Index (NSI) Local People Meter (LPM) data (a 3.1/9 NSI rating/share among total persons). That not only won prime-time for Univision – no other network came close – but it also beat the 540,000 average quarter hour New York audience for the final match of the 2006 World Cup in which Italy beat France.
“Premios Juventud” also won each of the three key audience categories on New York’s WXTV/41. It scored a 4.5 rating and 14 share among those aged 18 to 34 (203,000 viewers), a 3.9/12 NSI rating/share among those aged 18 to 49 (358,000 viewers), and a 3.2/10 NSI rating/share for 281,000 viewers aged 25 to 54. No other New York TV station came close to Univision 41’s prime-time viewership.
